Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Verify benefits and obtain authorization for all procedures.
Schedule and coordinate patient’s surgery, all pre and post operative appointments and Physical Therapy initial evaluation appointment.
Liaison with appropriate vendors involved with surgeries.
Maintain physician’s surgery schedule.
Ensure all diagnostic testing and required documentation including operative films are ordered, scanned and provided to all necessary parties before and after surgery.
Manage coordination of care for the surgical patients.
Support the Administrative Assistant and Center as required.
Support general phone management upon request.
Qualifications:
A minimum of three to five years of experience as an Surgical Coordinator in a medical office setting using medical terminology preferred
Candidates will be courteous, articulate, reliable and must be comfortable working in a busy, professional, fast-moving environment, with a devotion to excellent customer service.
Excellent computer skills: including IDX, Microsoft Outlook; General Use of Internet Explorer; Electronic Medical Records
